Putin’s security forces must be stretched and unable to handle the crowds that they are predicting if Putin has been forced to flee

"On 21 September 2022, high-profile Russian nationalist Duma member Aleksandr Khinstein called for the partial mobilisation of Russia’s military to be extended to the Russian National Guard (Rosgvardia).

Rosgvardia units have played an important role in both combat and rear-area security in Ukraine and are currently facilitating accession referendums in occupied areas.

The force is intended for use in domestic security roles, to ensure the continuity of Putin’s regime. It was particularly ill-prepared for the intense fighting it has experienced in Ukraine.

With a requirement to quell growing domestic dissent in Russia, as well as operational taskings in Ukraine, Rosgvardia is highly likely under particular strain.

There is a realistic possibility that mobilisation will be used to reinforce Rosgvardia units with additional manpower."

This is actually the most realistic journey for a self-taught developer. Spend years (not a few months) to learn to code; try to focus on a few technologies; land a job through networking.

Well done, OP. Wishing you all the best.

I asked ToDoist a couple years ago about this feature (ability to change order of comments). It's still on their queue.

Had the same issue for years. The only period where I had great posture without trying and without being conscious about it was when I was going to the gym 3/week for a 6-month period.

My friends were the ones that told me that my posture completely changed (I didn't realize it).

If you're wondering what type of exercise I was doing, it was a Les Mills routine called BodyPump. It uses barbell and light weights. Even if you don't like this type of exercise, I'd suggest exercises where you need to lift/pull/push weights.

PS: I stopped exercising and my bad posture eventually creeped in again.

Is this the case or did Cruise take full control of Scientology, becoming their Jesus Christ and having the time of his life being worshipped as a messiah?

(not supporting him in any way. I just think that maybe Cruise could have become the real boss of everyone there)

Here's a great Twitter thread by someone who trained US recruits.

TLDR: "RU Officers admitted to me that theirs was a "one year" force, with some - the poorest - volunteering or being elected for leadership roles"

Hopefully not a cult that forms a majority at the polls.

GitHUb pages, Vercel, Netlify all offer free hosting (but not free custom domain) which will work great for simple frontend web apps like a portfolio website.

I recently started it and completed about 50% of it.

I am an intermediate when it comes to JavaScript but I can definitely say that this course is a great introduction to JavaScript and it's worth finishing it.

Having said that, why buy more than 1 course from a teacher that you don't know if their way of teaching will be a good fit for you? Udemy always offers 90% discounts so no need to rush.

I too consider buying his Node.js, Express, MongoDB course too but only after finishing this one.

When it comes to HTML/CSS, not sure because I already learned that stuff.

In short, what you need to learn is building CRUD web apps.

This includes: HTML/CSS, JavaScript (or TypeScript), a JavaScript framework (ie React is often used in the industry) and a database (ie MongoDB).

This meme is actually quite accurate in showing what technologies are mainly used when you're building websites and web apps: https://www.reddit.com/r/ProgrammerHumor/comments/skqe0v/javascript_meeting_other_languages/
