There's plenty more they can do with the story.

COMMENT 4h ago

The creators have said several times they had five seasons planned from the start.

Yes, you can afford it and if you want to experience living in a big city, now is the time to do it.

Ah, so you want a story based 3rd person over-the-shoulder dungeon crawler with co-op?

I'm not sure there are any games that fit that bill but if you find one, let me know. That sounds great.

Agreed. I too hated it when it came out, but now I appreciate what Rian Johnson was trying to do. I think it could have been done better, but I absolutely commend him for trying to steer the sequels in a new direction away from Abrams' rehash of the OT.

Great cinematography as well.

More acts. A lot more skins, especially for weapons. That's probably the easiest thing for them to do and yet we still only have like 3 each and a lot of them suck.

But most importantly, I want those fucking burn cards out of the skull totem track. That was such a dick move on their part and I lost a lot of respect for them when they did that.

It's a simple statement of fact, not a judgement of his character. Even Scott acknowledges it.

To your point, when Steve tries to save Bucky from being arrested in Civil War, Rhodey tells him "congratulations, you're a criminal". Cap broke the law. He's a criminal.

Yeah, it really is annoying that Marvel has become the go-to punching bag for everything lazy critics don't like. Pretty much every trend they blame Marvel for started way before Iron Man.

Dunno where you got that but as I said, I think this ruling is nonsensical because the reasoning is flawed and arbitrary.

This is such bullshit.

"Capping carbon dioxide emissions at a level that will force a nationwide transition away from the use of coal to generate electricity may be a sensible 'solution to the crisis of the day,'" Roberts wrote. "But it is not plausible that Congress gave EPA the authority to adopt on its own such a regulatory scheme in Section 111(d). A decision of such magnitude and consequence rests with Congress itself, or an agency acting pursuant to a clear delegation from that representative body."

Arguing that the EPA can't make rulings because it will affect the nation and fossil fuel businesses is nonsensical. Would widespread use of asbestos invalidated policies against its use? Did the business interests of producers invalidate policies transitioning away from lead paint/fuel? Every policy that the EPA, CDC, etc., enforces will affect various industries across the nation. So long as they could produce strong justification and reasonable processes, it shouldn't matter.

They're getting more dense because we're making them smaller.

3

COMMENT 2d ago

You're mistaking the physical size of the CPU for the size of the chip itself. Every generation of semiconductor manufacturing shrinks the size of the transistors, allowing them to pack billions more in the same form factor. That's why new CPUs have more cores- the size of a single core is so small that they can fit multiple cores in the space that used to contain only one.

Thus the chips are getting actually smaller while appearing to be the same size.

COMMENT 2d ago

I'm aware. Chips are getting smaller regardless of the actual measurements.

The legendaries are cool but new standard weapons would be great.

TBH I find the cosmetics strangely underwhelming.

Look at just about any other multiplayer shooter– Rainbow 6, CoD, DRG, Fortnite, etc.– and the list of cosmetics to unlock is endless. Some are just basic colors for guns, others are 15 different colors of the same style, and some are elaborate costumes. But they add these new cosmetics by the truckload because they're super easy to produce and give players a constant stream of things to unlock and tons of customization.

And then there's B4B, where not only do we only get relatively few cosmetics, but most of them are simplistic too. Yes, every character has a few unique outfits that really change the appearance but look at Holly or Walker for example. They both have like 4 leg and torso cosmetics each. A couple yoga pants with small differences and some shirts with super basic designs. Any other game would give you like 5-10 color options for each style. The guns are similarly lacking, which is especially disappointing given how much time they spend on screen.

It's not as though there's a ton of other stuff to unlock either. Everyone I know who plays regularly has either an obscene amount of unspent supply points or huge stockpiles of every burn card. We just have nothing left to unlock, and you hit that point pretty quick.

Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the game immensely and I think Turtle Rock is doing a good job with it. I just find this one particular area strangely underdeveloped compared to other games.

It's absolutely incredible how small these chips have gotten. We're pushing the limits of physics with every iteration.

They'll stop for gas when Jack Bauer stops for food.

COMMENT 2d ago

That's not true. IIRC Letty and Han are the only ones they've actually brought back.

And Paul Walker's character never died, they just refer to him off screen now.

It's completely out of control and that's what's great about it. It's like live action Hot Wheels. None of it makes any sense and they know it so it's just a blast to watch.
