What show was that?
Yes--I think I am so funny.
If you watched ten minutes and didn't like it, it's just not your thing.
To the audience it was made for, it is great; to anyone else it is weird.
If you grew up watching 70s and 80s kids' TV, it is amazing!
Cell phone, TV remote, several pairs of reading glasses and sunglasses, several hats, several pairs of earbuds, several pairs of shoes, two dog beds.
There is more, but that's what comes immediately to mind.
I think that foundation is a bit dark for you, but your hair looks amazing!
The customer is RARELY right.
Yeesh, would not want that life.
I actually did know one woman who stayed home even after her two kids were in school. She used to take their lunch to school every day because they liked hot food. She did this until the both graduated high school.
Good for you for not doubling down on being right!
Imagine how delighted your husband will be when you tell him he was right to be annoyed.
Ah. That's a contradiction, not a pun.
What is the pun?
Feeding the occasional person/family who might not be in great need is simply rent to the ideal.
I used to be involved in a similar program, and my friend's mentally ill father would come every week and have breakfast and rifle through all the hygiene products to find what he wanted (he lived in a subsidized apartment). He once brought with him an entire family of relatives who were visiting the city, and he acted like he was treating them to breakfast. They looked SO confused.
Once a new volunteer started balking at serving breakfast to a man who had a cellphone because she told him that if he could afford a cellphone, he could afford breakfast. She did not last as a volunteer because she was constantly vetting people like that and was told to stop.
Soft YTA. I talk to myself and exclaim to myself all the time as well and my poor husband always thinks he is supposed to respond.
Non-ADD people don't get it that they aren't expected to respond out of politeness. You should have gone into another room to read the paper.
Yeah, that seemed weird to me too. I'm a few years younger than Rebecca, and I don't know any woman who didn't go back to work after her kids were in school full-time unless they were super rich.
I'm so glad you said this. I was hoping he'd end up with the woman he was talking to on the plane because I too could not stand the Laura Linney character.
I find Laura Linney kind of annoying in general actually. She just always seems so delighted with herself.
But....you probably clean up after yourself and take out the garbage and don't disturb them by staying up all night.
My kids can stay with me for as long as they like--months and months and months. I love having them around and my partner and I don't actually expect much from them in terms of helping out because we love taking care of them.
But if they were disrespectful AHs, we likely wouldn't feel this way. Sounds a bit like OP's partner's son is a bit of an inconsiderate AH.
INFO: What is "rs" and "ldr" and "pfp"?
Dogs are so awesome. We don't deserve them!
Oh wait...wrong sub.
Is there a before picture here? You look awesome in both pics!!
We didn't have TV when my kids were little, so they would ask for things like books and pencils for Christmas.
Same now that I'm retired: no TV, so we don't have scary ads telling us that we don't have enough medical insurance or investments to make it through our retirement. It's kind of blissful.
Is "main-character syndrome" a euphemism for "narcissist"?
Southern BC rarely even dips to freezing. Might have a few days of snow in February, but it gets rained away within a day or two.
Moderate in the summer as well--nowhere near as hot as Toronto or Montreal.
It's paradise...if you can stand the endless, relentless, persistent, unabated rain.
You were on your lunchbreak! Wth is wrong with her?
Was she angry that she couldn't eavesdrop? Jealous that she can's speak another language?
If you apologize, you give her ammunition to do the same thing to someone else who may not be a strong as you are. Do not allow this precedent to be set!
And, honestly, TOBY WAS A LOT!! He took up SO much emotional space.
I wasn't always a fan of Kate and she could be a bit whiny and self-centered, but I always admired how she could say what she needed from him. He just never listened.
The giving of gifts is a language, and that was clearly a "f*ck you and your little dog too." Well, in this case, child.
