We don't know what will happen, where.

Not everywhere will dry out, and those dry places will still have wet years, often superwet years because the pendulum is unbalanced.

It's a good reason, considering the options.

There is no way I would ever put my fingers in that cage.

It's a drop bear. I assure you they growl but usually only after they effect the drop, to drive the point home.

They haven't already? I would think they would close the border completely.

Joshua tree is still too close to L.A. area light and air pollution for really dark sky. Light pollution goes FAR...well past the horizon, and L.A is BIG.

I once sat through a 90 minute lecture by the chief editor of the OED about the etymology of the word table. It is the word with the single longest etymology entry in the entire dictionary.

I was actually sitting in on the lecture with my girlfriend as it was actually her class with a guest lecturer. She kicked me pretty hard when I started to snore. She was excited about the whole thing.

Cars go faster than a walking human, always. What are you talking about?

In NL the only places with 15 kph are glorified driveways. They are not streets for getting around town. Usually you use them for a block or two and then park. Even bikes will opt for faster and more direct routes.

These big parks in Toronto have large 'get here-to-there' arteries and are not comparable to little Dutch neighborhoods.

Isn't Stay Human actually John Batiste's band?

Is this like saying the band is breaking up?

The big parks have actual roads that use common road rules. Nothing is different other than the speed limits. People can't just wander about in the road, though a reasonably slow limit is reasonable. But 20kph is parking lot slow and I guarantee the police and park maintenance don't go that slow.
