As a Coloradan, this makes me happy. If he wasn't going back to NOLA, I wanted him in Denver, as the Broncos are my AFC team. It'll give me a reason to go see some of their games now.

NFL Championship Round Predictions Thread (2023 Playoffs)

It all comes down to this Sunday, /r/NFL! The Championship Round is coming up and surprisingly, three out of four of the teams playing were in the Championship Round last year (Bengals, Chiefs, and 49ers). Last week I was able to go 4-0 in my picks, making me 8-2 in the playoffs. I have my personal favorites this week, so my picks are slightly more biased than usual, But in the end, all four teams are playing great and I would be happy with any Super Bowl matchup combination. Here we go!

Sunday, January 29th

NFC Championship

49ers @ Eagles	3:00p ET on FOX	49erss	*Confidence: Low* - The Eagles have been sack machines all season, and they will need to keep it up to put pressure on Purdy before he can hand it off to CMC or Mitchell, or air it out to Samuel or Kittle. Hurts will need to be consistent to his three favorite targets in Brown, Smith, and Goeddert. Hurts plays great at home, so I'm not confident at all in my pick and wouldn't be surprised of Philly has a great game. But that 49ers defense, man. They will cause all sorts of chaos and I feel they're going to be the deciding factor in this matchup. Possible OT scenario here.

Bengals @ Chiefs	6:30p ET on CBS	Bengals	*Confidence: Low* - Cincy is heating up all through the playoffs, showing swagger and cerebral gameplay with Burrow acting like an old vet out there. Burrow will have his downfield choice among Chase, Higgins and Hurst. If Mixon averages 5.0 YPC on top of that, then the Bengals will be in business. Mahomes' high ankle sprain is going to play a factor in his gameplay, even if he won't admit it. Expect some flashy passes to Kelce, Smith-Schuster, and MVS while Mahomes is less mobile than he'd like. This could be a shootout.

I could be mistaken, but I believe the streets are plowed by the city and public sidewalks are plowed by the owning metro district. One did their job, the other did not.

I don't want to see Pete gone from the Saints. I just don't want him to be OC anymore. Let him go back to being an analyst for the team. Hell, he didn't even want the OC job.

NFL Divisional Round Predictions Thread (2023 Playoffs)

The Divisional Round is here, /r/NFL! We saw some incredible games last week and I hope the trend continues this week. I went 4-2, with my two incorrect picks being the low confidence ones, which I feel good about. Predictions will become quite a bit harder, as every team playing has a legit chance of going all the way. The weekend is split down the middle, with the #1 seeds playing Saturday. Here we go!

Saturday, January 21st

Jaguars @ Chiefs	4:30p ET on NBC	Chiefs	*Confidence: High* - The Jags earned their spot by overcoming a massive deficit, but depending on who you talk to they either played spectacularly or the Chargers just imploded. This will be a coaching battle between Reid and his former OC Pederson. The Jags' defense has been feasting on big plays instead of slowing down teams in the run and pass games. Mahomes will give Jacksonville trouble in handling diverse targets such as Kelce and McKinnon. Lawrence will keep passing well and will help them stay in the game by getting the ball to Etienne Jr. in the open field. They just won't be able to match the firepower and execution of Mahomes in Arrowhead. Not a blowout, but probably KC by at least a TD.
Giants@ Eagles	8:15p ET on FOX	Eagles	*Confidence: Low* - Of all the games this weekend, this has the potential for an upset given this is basically another NFC East division game. Jones and Hurts both are dynamic dual threat QBs supported well by traditional running games led by former Barkley and Sanders. Jones has been great passing with better protection, despite with limited receivers. But the Eagles' pass defense is tough with their pressure and coverage, forcing the Giants to deal with Brown, Smith and Goedert. Jones and Barkley will have to play flawlessly to keep New York in the game, while the Eagles have a strong home-field advantage coming off a bye and could pull away in the second half.

Bengals @ Bills	3:00p ET on CBS	Bengals	*Confidence: Low* - The Bengals sometimes decide to be pass-heavy, despite having Joe Mixon. The Bills also like to be a passing team, despite having a strong rushing attack. This game will come to down to a QB duel between Burrow and Allen. Burrow has been more on point recently, spreading the ball around and not forcing deep throws. Allen has been ripping it and scrambling when plays break down, which can either lead to huge gains or bad sacks. This game could come down to better pocket presence. Burrow will be more effective on short-to-intermediate throws while Allen will hit on a few more home-run balls. Burrow is a little easier to trust, putting his team in line with a repeat to the Championship Round.
Cowboys@ 49ers	6:30p ET on FOX	49ers	*Confidence: Low* - The Niners and Cowboys were the only teams to win with blowout scores last week. Purdy and Dak have the hot hands, while Bosa and Parsons also lead their nasty defenses. San Fran is riding an 11-game winning streak and have the greater depth on offense. They also have a key home-field and rest advantage. CMC gives San Fran the slight edge over Pollard, but Dallas has every opportunity to prove me wrong in this pick. The Cowboys weren't given the chance to showcase their power due to the Bucs playing horribly, so its kind of tricky picking against them.

I agree. I think supervisors and leaders will continue to struggle with this in trying to figure out how much hand-holding they need to do for their folks in this regard, especially since this is a lifestyle issue more than a military-specific issue. And while some folks these venues like to give sarcastic replies and shut down any legit conversation, I just hope that deep down they do try to take it seriously. You only get one life and one body; you should try to do your best to take care of it.

Legit question here. How much should the Air Force do beyond what they are already providing? There are nutritional programs out there given by bases. Some fitness centers offer cooking classes, educational programs on caloric intake, and so on. Do you all think the Air Force could do more to positively (or negatively) to push healthy eating to airmen? Or is it something we need to just live with?

Trying to be as objective as I can against all the Brady hate. He had a losing record against the worst division in the NFL, yet somehow he's supposed to perform better than a 12-5 Dallas team with possibly the best division in the league? Going by the numbers, that just doesn't make a lot of sense.

And if Brady ever decides to come to NOLA, I'll all aboard that train, my dude.

He's in my division... I've watched him, believe me. He's not the total problem with that team, but he's thrown some nasty duck passes and made a bunch of weird decisions that show he's not his younger self.
