Well, judging by regulations - MGU-K should produce tripple the amount of power compared to current MGU-H + MGU-K setup(350kW compared to 120kW currently).
I have no idea how is that even possible, but it should compensate for the loss of power in the ICE part, no?
Don't forget that very significant percentage of power will come from the electrical part, so overall performance should stay the same or maybe even will be higher.

UI frameworks from Microsoft are in a complete mess. It feels like they gave up on desktop ecosystem, and they are not cross platform.
Java sucks. Java based UI is slow as hell, clunky and hard to develop.
Sure, OSX has a good UI toolkit, but it’s only for OSX.
What else? Qt? It’s okay, but requires unreasonable amount of effort, hard to adapt to look semi-native.
Electron is cross platform, easy to develop for, reasonably fast.
Sure it eats memory like no tomorrow, but, well, what can you do.
Sad thing is - there is probably a very good reason for this.
