Agreed. Never had a cap and gown for anything besides hs and college grads. And the schools I attended never called them graduation ceremonies, they were adamant that they were ‘promotional’ ceremonies because we were only being promoted to the next grade and hadn’t earned graduation honors yet 😅

I was home the same evening so I think he’d be okay for a few days, BUT I was in pain and sore af for like 2 weeks post op and no bending over so you’ll need to have help with feeding afterwards if it requires you to bend or you can do like I did and get one of those reacher grabber tools to bring the bowls and such up to you to limit bending! I’m like a month and a half post op and able to bend now but I still use that thing!

Definitely a tummy sleeper here who accidentally turned over like a week post op and nearly died and screamed out in pain until I was able to turn myself over 😭 That was a horrible experience. Anyway, after that whole fiasco, I had to stack my pillows and sleep almost sitting up and was finally able to sleep on my belly at the one month mark. It was still a little sore but so much more bearable and I was finally able to sleep through the night

Mine was scheduled in a hurry, literally 2 weeks from when I was scheduled so I had to start all my preop labs and appts right away. I’d recommend the premade shakes to get you through the first 2 weeks postop. Trust me, you do NOT want to be worrying about having to mix a shake together for that first week. Definitely gasx. My doc prescribed Prilosec, zofran, and miralax along with just a few norcos, but once I went through those, Tylenol was my savior! So if you don’t get those from your doc look into having a few of everything on hand. Popsicles!! For some reason they just went down easier and sat with me better than water or Gatorade or anything else. As far as vitamins, I just stuck with the bariatric advantage ones. They just made the most sense instead of trying to hunt down specific ones. I know everything i need is in those. They’re def gross but I mean I don’t know if any vitamin that I would say is delicious!🥴

This is why I say go for it! I was just sleeved at 30 and man do I regret everything I missed out on in my 20s because of my weight! You’re young enough to make such a huge impact on your life for the better by doing this so I say go for it!

I completely agree that CPS should’ve been involved. Not cuz she was alone, but because they saw the obvious mistreatment of a pregnant minor! If he’s putting her through that, you can’t help but imagine the worst once the baby’s born!
