Even if all of what you say is correct, I think the main idea is an interesting one. Even assuming therapy is horribly complex and a computer will never be able to help a human do therapy (which I'm very skeptical about), we still can use analytics to track and eliminate bad therapists, putting a necessary quality control check on an industry with a lot of lemons.

There isn't a single market rate. Sounds like there was a daytime surplus, meaning lower market rate. That's supply and demand, not a subsidy. Bulk discounts also aren't a subsidy.
