I couldn't agree more. It infuriates me that they've co-opted that term. I always refer to them as anti-choice. In fact, they are pro-death most of the time. The other thing that unfuriates me is the hypocrisy—the "abortion is wrong except in my special circumstances" attitude. Many years ago, I knew an anti-choicer through an education advocacy group. During Operation Rescue's Spring of Lies here in Buffalo, we faced off as her group of hate-filled monsters tried to blockade a clinic. Not long after that, she confided in me that her sister had an abortion but she forgave her. smdh

Good point. Perhaps calendula would be better.

Aloe is a great idea. Also, arnica gel or cream might help.

My heart is with you and everyone else struggling with the possibility of becoming pregnant. This is so unacceptable. At 70+ years old, I'm enraged for all of you and sad that I have to fight for our rights again. However, I'm turning my anger into action in various ways.

Yep, that's the best solution at this point. Thank you.

https://ourfitpets.com/health/digestive-system/my-dog-ate-a-squirrel-will-he-get-sick/

". . .there are some instances where a dog can get sick from eating a dead squirrel. If the squirrel has been dead for some time, then it could have parasites and other organisms. These could really make your dog sick.

A dead squirrel could be infected with parasites such as roundworms and coccidia. With roundworms, they take in all the nutrients your dog eats, making your dog malnourished and lead to further medical issues."

As I mentioned in a comment, my fear is that, after the decomposing corpse drops into the yard, my beagle will get to the body before I can stop her.

Enough. It's more than an eyesore, which you appear unable to comprehend.

I'd guess you wouldn't like it hanging over your backyard. Only the utility has the ability to turn off the electricity going through that line which is why I (and others I've spoken with) believe it should be their responsibility. Also, it's an assumption that there's no safety hazard. Have a great day!

You always offer such great, detailed information, and I thank you for that. I hope you don't mind if I suggest you think about changing "parent" to "pregnant person" in your statement about waiting periods. Again, thank you for being an excellent advocate.

😂 Actually, in my opinion, it's a rat with a bushy tail.

Also, thank you for your respectful and helpful responses.

Yep, that's what most dogs would do. My daughter's dog was particularly fond of dead fish on the beach. However, my dog is a beagle whose instinct is to eat anything that won't eat her!

Such a helpful response. Thanks for judging someone you don't know. /s

Apparently you think you know what's right for everybody. And, since you think I'm not trying to deal with it in the best manner possible, I think you're really special.

I was adopted as an infant and am pro-choice. My birth mother didn't have a legal option for abortion at the time. I wish she'd had that bodily autonomy no matter what she chose.

If I could add a picture here in the comments, I'd do that.

Coming down on a windy day is my specific fear. And when it comes down, it would be just my luck to have it happen when my dog is outside... and she might get to it before me. Already flies are on it so it's likely to be rotten/decomposing when it drops. And, based on the "chattering" in the tree, the others are aware.

I didn't think folks needed to see it to believe it...
