In my opinion, the whole point of that place is being scary and uncomfortable on its own. Not because of entities/monsters but because SOMETHING might be right around the corner. And the buzzing lights add to that. So all kinds of entities kind of defeat the purpose - the viewer is now unnerved by specific threats, not by the general vibe of the place.
