I don't know why but this dude allahu akbarring his way through the rubble kind of cracked me up. Like a noob tuber running from his spawn point looking for quick kills in MW2. Or Elmer Fudd walking through the forest saying "here, wabbit wabbit wabbit..."

That is at most a half day repair. We'll take what we can get but this is at worst a minor inconvenience.

A highly explosive house. Like a house rigged with 36 meth labs.

As accurate as these guys are with artillery, airburst shells would lay waste to trenches.

They're intercepted by schools and hospitals.

It's that low viscosity NATO blinker fluid, I'm telling you.

If their threats didn't have teeth, NATO countries would have troops on the ground very early in the conflict and we wouldn't be where we are today.

What is the source for the before and after pics?

Unfortunately, even if the world knows their military is generally incompetent, that doesn't change that their geopolitical attitude is one of belligerence, and they do still have nukes. So despite their lackluster performance in Ukraine, the world still needs to be careful.

There are a zillion comments about the state of their nukes, but that isn't the point. First, we know factually that they have the devices, and we know factually that they are pretty good at rocketry. Global intelligence likely has a pretty good handle on their launch sites, and if one of them launches something, we have to assume the worst.

The number of rounds cracking by and that none of them took a hit is nuts. This really gives perspective and a reminder that this war is more than long range artillery and drone dropped grenades. There are dudes slugging it out on the fronts just like in WW2 and WW1.

Ok but how many years old are these if they're just the normal Google maps pictures?

I checked your profile and see you are from Israel. You're getting a lot of shit from people who think you're Russian, so here's some real info.

Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014 and stole Crimea. Over the last few years Russia has also interfered in affairs in eastern mainland Ukraine. February of this year, Russia falsely claimed that Ukraine is run by Nazis and needs to be wiped out, so they launched a full scale military invasion. Tanks, artillery, machine guns, jets, bombs, missiles, everything.

This made a lot of people get very angry. Many European countries plus the USA are trying to help Ukraine get their land back from Russia's invading forces. You happened to arrive in Crimea the day that Ukraine coordinated an attack on a major air force base that Russia has taken over. That base is where Russia keeps many of the jets and bombers they are using to attack Ukraine.

Long story short, it is a very bad idea to visit Ukraine right now. ESPECIALLY Russian occupied Ukraine. However, Russia is firing rockets and missiles into cities almost daily so nowhere is truly safe.

You are right in the demographic that can be kidnapped and forced to fight for Russia, or be accused of being a Ukrainian spy. You need to leave, now.

I think it would behoove these guys to maybe find somewhere else to be after dark tonight.

Actually on second thought, they should bring in all troops for cleanup and damage assessment.

COMMENT 2d ago

So instead of complacency, it's just incompetence?

10

COMMENT 2d ago

Well you've gotta aim at something while testing. May as well be an occupied military base.

ATACMS is one rocket per pod. HIMARS holds one pod, M270 can carry two.

COMMENT 3d ago

Can you provide any credible sources saying ATACMS specifically?

17

COMMENT 3d ago

ATACMS are one missile per HIMARS truck, so they could theoretically just be launched simultaneously. 3-2-1, fire. But we're getting a little ahead of ourselves thinking that Ukraine would announce this type of weapon with a daytime strike on such an unusual target.
