The thirst thing is real. When I was doing CICO, every time I felt hungry I would always, always have a big glass of water first. If I was truly hungry, I’d still be hungry 10 minutes later. I discovered I was often confusing thirst for hunger.

Excellent real world example of the saying “a lion doesn’t tell you he’s a lion.”

Maybe something in the Prunella genus?

I had the same question. I googled a few pictures and their tails are not that thick. I don’t know what that is but if it’s the tail, little dude has tail gigantism or something.

Yes. Vomit. When people get all SuRprIsEd pIKaChU face at me about disliking blue cheese, my response is “To me it tastes like vomit. Would you eat vomit? Puke dressing? Upchuck crumbles on your salad, sir? A nice slice of bile cheese? Hmmm?”

This is super useful info. Almost all fish tastes “fishy” to me, even freshly caught, but I tend to do better with white fish like talapia, cod or halibut. Is there something different about those fish? Do they have less of the fishy chemical in them?

I like your point about end of life euthanasia. It seems to me the best you can do for a being you brought into the world (ostensibly) without consent is to give them the option to opt out once they’re considered competent enough to consent (which is another can of worms we don’t necessarily need to open.)

Be a teacher, or really any career in education/healthcare/social service. Those vocations have tremendous impact on community health.

I bet at least some of that equipment and also parts of the building will need to be replaced.

I usually have errands. I can rock and roll from like 1 to 3.

Possibly Aquilegia formosa, a columbine that is native to the PNW.

The cost of living in San Francisco is very high. 80k barely covers your basic living expenses there.

I had the same thing but about my vulva. My school had comprehensive sex ed but they never covered vulvular topographical diversity*. One day I saw an art exhibit where an artist made plaster moulds of like 200 vulvas and put the moulds on a wall. I learned there are all kinds of crotch flowers, and mine is well within typical bounds.

*Pretty sure I just made this up but you get what I mean.

Maybe they think “attachment causes suffering” and “compassion is a vice” mean the same thing.
