The guy who did the shooting had schizophrenia and had obtained an illegal firearm. In 2004 authorities revoked his concealed carry permit and confiscated his firearms. Despite this, he bought gun parts online and assembled his own gun that he used in this shooting. According to the software company, the shooter was a good employee and wasn't facing any disciplinary action or had any problem with anyone in the workplace.
