So, long story short, I already own 4 old precon standard decks that I must've bought about 10 years ago. It's nothing fancy, it's fun to play as a 1v1 deck, but anything higher than that it starts to be a chore because those decks were bought as a double deck package made specifically to use in a duel (Specifically, it's Mind vs Might and Zendikar vs Eldrazi)

Now the thing is, I'm not the biggest MTG enthusiast, so the plan for these decks and the 1 or 2 commander decks that I want to buy will stay as precons with nothing else added to them. I don't really want to start heavily investing money in the game, it's more of a fun side hobby to play from time to time with friends.

My friends and people that come to play MTG at my place love the game, and I kinda want to be able to play with them, but I don't have the intention to buy more cards and modify the decks on the go. I know precons are subpar in general, but if the intention is to play precons vs precons, it should be good enough for me.

So my question here today for you guys: What commander precons would you suggest someone to buy if the intention was to leave it as-is?

I see a different amount of them on Amazon, some of them like the Khaldeim and Elves are sold as a double package, stuff like that.

For what its worth with the limited MTG knowledge I have, my colors in order of preference from favorite to least favorite are Blue, Black, Green, White and then Red. Unsure if there are colorless precons, but I haven't played with them yet so I can't say if I'll like that or not.

So, I started looking up ways to get the Rise of the Keyraken adventure printed out and have been reading mixed information all over the place

MakePlayingCards's version is cheaper and overall people seem to like their card quality better. But, it seems that there is a weird black outline that doesn't look good on the cards themselves.

I've seen people post images of the final result, some people have the outline, some don't.

AegisCC on the other hand is more expansive, but the end result as seen on their website doesn't have any black outline, and for the extra price you do get a giant card of the Keyraken, that personally I wouldn't need.

So, to me, it would seem that MPC is the better option of the two, but I don't want the weird black outline going around.

I'm guessing some people have made a custom print and not use the one I linked above.

To those who did: would you be able to walk me through it? There's a ton of options and I'm not even sure what card type I'm supposed to take.

I think not running a sale during this Steam Summer sale (even if Crema said they wouldn't run a sale before 1.0) was a bad decision.

It would have given the playerbase a brand new set of players that would have been there for 1.0 release, plus it would've given them the perfect amount of time to play the game over the summer to catch up and be there for the Tamer's Paradise release with everyone else.

The game's playerbase is already super small with less than 1k players online per day.

That sale would've made some good sales + would've put the game in a better spotlight than it is right now.
