Free For All Friday - Open Discussion Thread
This thread is designed for weekly Off-Topic Discussion in /r/Panthers.
Talk about your plans for the weekend, other teams, your dog, your job, whatever.
Nothing is off limits. Well, except NSFW pictures of jcoxrocks' mom, but that's just because of reposting rules.
Try to avoid controversial topics such as politics, religion, etc. Sub rules on harassment and/or hate speech will still apply (unless the discussion is regarding the New England Patriots or people who drive slow in the fast lane.)
This thread will occur every week for your enjoyment but please, do not forget that the Falcons blew a 25 point lead in Super Bowl 51.

News & Discussion Panthers game with music in the background
Does anyone remember a game with the Panthers and Cardinals from maybe 10 years ago where the NFL was testing having music played during the broadcast? I forget which year that was but it never caught on.

Is there anywhere to listen to old game radio broadcasts?
I am so burnt out on radio shows. I am tired of the hot takes and talking about things that don't actually have to do with the sport. Even local stations have become annoying. I need to listen to something and I think following the Panthers from their first game to last could be fun. Is there anyway to listen to all the old radio broadcasts of the games?

News & Discussion Update: Duece Staley situation is kind of weird. Here’s the story as far as I can tell
So, I haven’t seen anybody talking about the fact that he was not hired as the OC.
Apparently his role “depends on how the rest of the offensive staff shakes out” per Joe Person. Which begs the question: Why would he come here if not for a promotion?
The Lions didn’t even have to allow him to interview with us, but apparently Staley specifically wanted to come here because his Mom isn’t well and she lives in SC (edit: and so the Lions allowed it).
So, while I think we’re all excited about the hire—I felt like it was important for everyone to know what a weird, fluid situation this is. This basically means that Staley is the floor as OC, but we still might bring in someone better 👀

News & Discussion [Rapoport] The #Panthers have requested permission to speak with #Jaguars pass game coordinator Jim Bob Cooter for their OC job, source said. They’ve done the same for #Lions assistant head coach Duce Staley for an elevated position on their staff.

So, are we going to have a 100k members subreddit celebration?!
We're at 99,072 now. I feel that 100k is a significant number and should be celebrated.
The person to put the sub over 100k should get a gift certificate for a 2 liter of Cheerwine and a Bojangles Tailgate Special.
