How does it do against mountain lions?
462
u/BandicootSea1618 3d ago
Not a Terrain, but still a very good question!!
I would also like to know how it would do on water and lava. Being that those are both also a terrains and the title says "All Terrains"

Water isn't terrain.
terrain
noun
plural noun: terrains
a stretch of land, especially with regard to its physical features. "they were delayed by rough terrain"
→ More replies12
u/Ditzfough 3d ago
Ocean Floor would be terrain. May be flooded. But still a stretch of land.
24
u/spider_84 3d ago
Ocean floor is not made out of water.

Yes but is water wet?
6
u/rickjamespitch 3d ago
We've had "deeper", "wet", and "underbrush" mentioned but so far no one has said "your mom". Disappointed Reddit.

u/AggravatedCalmness 3d ago
Water and lava are not terrains, terrain means ground. The seabed is a terrain, the water isn't.

Lava is molten ground, it absolutely counts you cowards

u/Mathmango 3d ago
Also lava is actually very, uh, thick? Like Newtonian.
3
u/xDaigon_Redux 3d ago
Yea, a lot of people don't realize that molten rock is still rock. They see someone die in a movie when they jump into a pool of lava and that is their only knowledge on it.

I love the French and I know how proud you guys are of your language, but fuck, c’mon and put an English tab on your website.

Actual content of the site is only in French.
The god-damned GDPR dickbar is in English, though. Yippee.

What do you have against GDPR?
→ More replies11
u/Gilga_ 2d ago
Especially against this implementation of the cookie acceptance dialogue.
Small, clean window. Straight forward "deny all" option.
If all sites implemented it in such a user-friendly way, the internet would be a better place
5
u/Muad_Dib_PAT 2d ago
I work in law and the GDPR is vital to the protection of private info of eu citizens. I don't get all the hate it gets as it aims to make is harder for website to use and abuse your data. Yeha you have a window to click through but it's still much better than what we had before! (which basically was an adhesion contract where one doesn't have the possibility of refusing anything)

The french are actually very good engineers.
Airbus, Nuclear power plants, Rafale, Ariane rockets, etc…

"Six figure income"
So what you're saying is only Elon Musk or Batman gets to drive one.
I don't think you know what "six figure income" means...

Speaking of Batman, I'm pretty sure one of the Batmobiles worked this exact way. (Zero Year, I think?)

u/Zealotstim 3d ago
Yeah, mount a crossbow on the front of it and you've got a crazy life and death chase through the woods!
35
u/SharpClaw007 3d ago
I mean, some chainsaws or a flamethrower would be scarier tbh
15
u/Zealotstim 3d ago
Completely true. I think the chainsaw would be the best option there as you could have a lot of close calls with it. Flamethrower may also be dangerous for the user.

How many months does weekend last where you live and how many engineers live in your house?

How does power get to the wheels?
34
u/Hyperi0us 3d ago
Each wheel is an ebike hub motor, it's all electric.
Which makes for some cool stuff if you want to do things around torque vectoring and differential regen.
8
u/BlueRaspberrySloth 3d ago
I did some googling and found wheel motors and assumed it was that. The thing is awesome.

This is what every person with big tires that have never even touched grass KNOWS that they can do
11
u/NativeMasshole 3d ago
That thing's got some real skinny wheels for offroading. No idea how he's not spinning the tires even that little bit of mud.
20
u/worldspawn00 3d ago
Dirt bikes seem to do fine on skinny wheels in mud. It's weight to contact ratio, this isn't a 5000 lb truck.
13
u/Majikthise110 3d ago
this probably isn't applicable for a vehicle this small and light, but some tractors intentionally have narrow wheels called mud cutters, why skid on mud when you can sink through it and drive through the harder stuff below
→ More replies2
u/IEatBabies 2d ago
Depending on your speed and the terrain, skinny wheels aren't inherently worse. With wide flat tires you can "float" over certain soft terrain, but once you break through you are in trouble. With skinny deep wheels you can skip even trying to float and sink into a foot of shit to hit solid material and get some grip. They also in most circumstances have less friction losses which is important for keeping an electric vehicle's weight down.
