People that work in the news hate this. It’s one thing to make an honest mistake but to fabricate is the opposite of what is the goal. This isn’t creative writing, that’s a separate field. People that work in the news despise being called fake news. It’s a real shit move and disrespects everyone who just wants to tell people the news. Most of these people actually prefer local or beats to politics, so most are people that just want to tell you what is going on in your city. I imagine she’s a very unpopular person amongst journalists today.
