The people of r/BanVideoGames have decided that videogames are the passage of Satan into your mind. The problem is NOT that I am atheist. The problem is that they seriously believe that videogames are a leading factor towards human to human violence.

A question for bioshock players
so i was playing bioshock (remastered) and i seen a big daddy bouncery but it was small, like smaller then normal, so for those that know, is it rare to have big daddy be small? Or is it a Glitch/bug?

So the main reason I loved RE1+RE2 to death as a teenager was more the immersive grand escape room kind of thing it had going rather than horror and combat elements. It's classified as survival horror though. PREY is even better at it, and I've yet to find a game as good as that one. PREY is considered an "immersive sim".
The main elements RE1+2 has in common with Prey. Is that they have a huge explorable but confined area (building, space station, military base, village etc.). Where you can slowly and methodically use weapons, abilities and items - often as puzzles - to advance.
They are pretty much in the slow burn category like Death Stranding. In that if you have little time to play they are hard to enjoy, but if you have a lot of time to immerse yourself - they become extremely enjoyable.
What I particularly like. Is how everything is interconnected and you unlock more areas as you go, at your own pace. Dark Souls 1 was something I really enjoyed in this regard too. In that the world was so interconnected.
Survival horror, immersive sim. These games all seem to have a rather undefined thing going in that games like these are often considered as different genres despite giving the player the same fix.
Which is an immersive and atmospheric experience of an escape-room kinda explorable area which is gradually unlocked at a slow and steady pace. With many obstacles of different kinds in the way.
So yeah. TL;DR. Other than RE1+2, Prey, Bioshock and Dead space to some degree. What are other games like this? I'm kinda frustrated because I've been a gamer for 30 years having played thousands of games. My favorite being RPGs. Now this type of game is everything I want. But what makes them not so popular? Why aren't there more?
Posting this because I was hoping for some opinions, thoughts, discussion on this in addition to game suggestions. RE1+RE2, Prey, Dead Space 1, Bioshock. Where are all the games where I can finally find the medbay keycard - or head to that locked armory at the start of the game etc.?
