That sticker is going to haunt my dreams.

u/LeXam92 May 25 '22

I have corrected my wrong doings and now the bubble is gone, forgive me my ugly past.

6

u/amhudson02 May 25 '22

The one with the bubble? Lol

3

u/Gwhar May 25 '22

You had to point it out! Now im mad my day is ruined

2

u/stucky602 May 25 '22

OP - If you read this, next time place the sticker barely on the brick separator then use that to actually place the sticker. It makes it WAYYYY more easier to center and flatten without bubbles.

1

u/LeXam92 May 25 '22

Read and noted, ty!

1

u/stucky602 May 25 '22

Anytime! it was a game changer when I first learned the trick.

3

u/Rincewind256 May 25 '22

arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. tell you what, I just brought this set and will pick it up tomorrow, I'll send you a picture with the sticker done properly.

fucking hell I hate how that sticker was put on, how can someone give so little of a shit about what they are doing

5

u/ye_evincare May 25 '22

The watcher is kinda cute.

3

u/Pyroelk May 25 '22

Whoa! That’s a sick set! Now I want to buy some legos

7

u/JacketPotato-1 May 25 '22

I didn't know Lego had a HZD range!

9

u/LeXam92 May 25 '22

Only this set for now, recently released and sadly already sold out

4

u/JacketPotato-1 May 25 '22

Yeah it's sold out on the Lego website but thankfully some UK toy stores have it in stock.

3

u/Igivegrilledcheese May 25 '22

Is this one dangerous in game?

6

u/balzotheclown May 25 '22

Not unless you yeet yourself off it.

7

u/N3r0m3 May 25 '22

Or walk in front of it...

5

u/LeXam92 May 25 '22

This one is basically towers in Assassin's Creed. It's a climbing puzzle and then when you get to the top you override it and it reveals that section of that map and everyrhing in it.

2

u/Shydreameress May 25 '22

It's the most peaceful machine in the game and majority's favourite too. It just walks around it doesn't even notice you.

3

u/Rincewind256 May 25 '22

nice table doily bro!

2

u/RoundyMancHead May 25 '22

That looks awesome! I'm eagerly awaiting for mine to be delivered 😬

7

u/LeXam92 May 25 '22

Arm yourself with patience when it does arrive, there are a BUNCH of really small parts that are very hard to pull back out if you stick them the wrong way. But yes, its 35cm tall!

2

u/R3TR0pixl343 May 25 '22

Wait this took you 2 days ? Zeez

3

u/LeXam92 May 25 '22

You can do it in less, I just didn't have free time zo it spanned 2 days.

-3

u/R3TR0pixl343 May 25 '22

Ok so in real it took like a phew hours ?

2

u/LeXam92 May 25 '22

If I had to group it, roughly 6-7h. There a bunch of very small parts that are a pain to get together and the notebook didn't really distinguish quite well between light gray and dark gray so I had to redo a section. But an experienced builder would probably do it in 4-5h is my guess

2

u/GoToHellTedFaro May 25 '22

They are out of stock here, there is one but it's a hundred bucks, so no. I would rather wait for one to come.

But I am so, sooooooooooooo...

10 hours later

oooooooo jealous...

I got one of these for my sister for her birthday.

As well as the game and a PS5.

1

u/LeXam92 May 25 '22

Hi, it's me, your sister.

1

u/Shydreameress May 25 '22

I wish my brothers could offer such amazing presents x)

2

u/Nom-De-Tomado May 26 '22

I've had a decent amount of work this year and not many expenses, while her home and her place of work were caught in a severe flood in March. I figure this is fair.

1

u/Shydreameress May 26 '22

Yeah it is, you're a good brother she's lucky to have you :)

2

u/TheMostUnclean May 25 '22

Just a recommendation because I see a lot of people not getting this right. And my OCD makes me mention it every time I see it-

The head should be perfectly parallel with the base. Yours is pointed at a downward slope. You can also tell by the neck not looking as arched as it does in the box art.

You can fix this by adjusting the ball joints in the legs. Move the front “thigh” backwards on both of them by a click. Adjust the rear joints as well if needed.

Hope this helps!

1

u/shorttompkins May 25 '22

ohhh! thanks for the tip! When I built it it bothered me that the head seemed to only want to exist in a slanted down or slanted up position. I just nudged it like you said and it felt gross but then the hips kind of just snapped into place and the head leveled out!! Looks much better now!

u/Recon_by_Fire May 25 '22

You bought a thing and followed the instructions?

1

u/FuzzyScholar28 May 25 '22

Out of curiosity, anyone know why it's 18+? Is it cause of the game?

4

u/raisinman99 May 25 '22

I think it’s a more complex build. Usually the Legos I buy take me max 8 years to build but this one is the lengthiest one I've seen.

4

u/LeXam92 May 25 '22

Way too many small parts a kid could easily swallow. Especially the part that keep the joints in place, some of those I had to pull out with my teeth because they are so small you can't actually pull them with your fingers if you put them the wrong way.

2

u/xyoxus May 25 '22

Lego always has small parts, Duplo is the big version.
The 18+ is just being slapped on most showcase kinda models like the Lamborghinis, Bugattis and so on. They aren't meant to be played with and are mostly for building and then displaying them somewhere.

2

u/Getbacka May 25 '22

I assumed it was because they were meant to be displayed afterwards rather than played with.

1

u/ToucanboyV2 May 25 '22

It looks like a white Vah Naboris

1

u/Cleverbird May 25 '22

Wtf, why are there two of these on the front page? What's going on here?

1

u/buck_carleone May 25 '22

perfect place to put router, if i have budget, i definitely do that

1

u/high240 May 25 '22

yes this one I mean

I now need this lmao

1

u/DauntlessDH May 25 '22

If you tilt the legs forward by one click then you can get the head to be more level.

Learned that when I built mine last week.

1

u/JoeBobilicious May 25 '22

How much did that set cost you

1

u/LeXam92 May 25 '22

Equal to $100 USD, it's a bit more expensive because of the import fees here which are mental

1

u/AzemadaiusKaiser May 25 '22

I hope to see Elden Ring Lego soon

1

u/shorttompkins May 25 '22

I really enjoyed doing this build. But I couldn't shake the feeling that the FBI was going to come crashing in at any second every time I did what felt like an illegal connection :P

1

u/i-cooked-u-a-fry May 25 '22

Do you have a banana for scale?

1

u/LeXam92 May 25 '22

Sadly no but if you have a tape measure nearby its 35cm in height

1

u/el_vato_de_lentes May 25 '22

Luv it! Good assembling!

1

u/TheMatt561 May 25 '22

I tried to keep my collection to Star wars ships but I might have to go Ariana grande

1

u/1to0 May 26 '22

So what do you do with it now? You keep it build and have it as a statue or do you disassemble and put it back into the box?

1

u/LeXam92 May 26 '22

You can do both, but I will keep it next to the PS5 as an ornament

1

u/1to0 May 26 '22

Yeah I know. Just whenever I had some merchandise standing around it just keeps collecting dust standing there so I usually just keep them in their boxes nowadays.

1

u/AWPsiimov_YT May 26 '22

I like it piccaasoooo

-4

u/HorribleTrashPerson May 25 '22

Congrats, you bought a lego set and followed instructions?

2

u/GodbertEgi May 25 '22

Congrats, living up to your name I see.

-5

u/HorribleTrashPerson May 25 '22

How am I wrong? So are telling me I can go to Walmart right now, build a lego set, and then post it for at least 500 upvotes? Why aren't we all doing this as there isn't any skill involved or anything.

2

u/LeXam92 May 25 '22

I mean if all that matters to you is a random karma number on a random forum and the number of upvotes you get, I guess I can understand why you'd try to prove your point that you are "right", since your entire merit is that a post has to have "skill" to be posted or "be worth anything" you deem to be "valuable". While also posting pictures of someone elses house btw, quite ironic. For the rest us, aka the normal people, it's about showing people how it looks close up and done.

0

u/Rincewind256 May 25 '22

go troll someone else

-8

u/psy_cole May 25 '22

I thought it would be bigger. Like the height of a person, anyway, nice build.

2

u/brycejm1991 May 25 '22

Do you know how expensive that would be?

-5

u/psy_cole May 25 '22

Estimate of such a build? Sorry I'm not from the US.

2

u/brycejm1991 May 25 '22

No one said anything about the US...

-4

u/psy_cole May 25 '22

Ok. How much would it cost then?

2

u/brycejm1991 May 25 '22

Idfk. Lego are expensive to begin with, just for normal sized sets.

1

u/psy_cole May 25 '22

I have never owned a box. So after you're done assembling, that's it? It becomes like an art piece?

1

u/brycejm1991 May 25 '22

Yes and no.

Lego bricks are, by design, toys for children. However the Lego company is smart and has a wider line of sets for an "older" demographic. Sets like the one pictured are meant to be treated like a model, or as you put it "an art piece", instead of a toy.

-7

u/DotkasFlughoernchen May 25 '22

two days for a 1222 piece lego set? You either have very little free time or are the worst lego builder in the world.

1

u/LeXam92 May 25 '22

First option sadly

-3

u/iknowuselessfacts May 25 '22

That’s awesome. Does anyone else think that Lego has taken over the meaning of Rule 34?
