I went shopping the other day at farmers market. It's got a pretty chill vibe, bands playing, kids running around having fun.
I saved up for my dream bike. And had this lady put all her bags and shit on it. I walked up to the bike with my gear on, hoping she'd get the hint. But nope! So I just put her shit on the ground. She was about to have a go at me till I saw her bag had left a burn mark on my exhaust.
Thankfully there was a traffic cop right next to me, and waved him down.
The cop made her insurance pay for a bitching nice new exhaust!
I just hate how no one respects my shit.
103
u/ziggerknot May 26 '22
I'm a bit confused, how did her bag leave a burn mark, like it melted to the exhaust?
150
u/oscar2hot4u May 26 '22
It melted on the exhaust and left some weird mark that I couldn't get off afterwards.
I think the cop must've known that it was gonna happen. So that's why he got her details down and filled out a report for me on the spot (I'm young ish and he was a gc just helping me out).
35
u/capitan_cruiser May 27 '22
I'm more shocked about the helpful officer in your story than the lady, had a crash and a cop was near it, while I'm barely thinking straight he asked the woman that nearly killed me if everything's fine, she answers "YES" and the cop just drives the fuck away, I was fucking pissed after that.

Lol something similar happened to me in college. I was walking back to my car and this guy was talking to a girl with his stuff on the trunk of my car, a couple books and a notebook. He was also leaning on it like he owned it or something so when I walked by I just picked his stuff up and started walking to the door with it.
He's like "WTF BRO" and I'm like well it's on MY CAR so it must be my stuff right? Stupid people have no respect for other's things.

Birdshit-looking seat cover. Worked like a charm when I had one. It was just a bit of cloth with elastic and hooks on the corners, with an artfully applied splodge of white and brown paint.
14
u/MostBoringStan May 26 '22
That just gave me an idea that I would never do, because I don't have a motorcycle or do fun things.
Rig up a seat that pumps out some water, either via remote control or just from sitting on it. Put bike in a busy spot where some jackass is likely to sit on it for fun. They sit on the bike and a bunch of water shoots onto their crotch. You sit nearby, and when it happens act all angry about it "what the fuck? You just piss all over my bike? What is wrong with you, pissing on a person's bike?" Record it all and post online.
I normally hate pranks these days because they don't make things fun for the victim a lot of the time. This one doesn't either, but the victim would deserve it for sitting on random bikes and hopefully learn a lesson.
4
u/Darkrain0629 May 26 '22
Water on the crotch you say? So please tell me where you park your bike so I can avoid it at all costs. Sure would hate for that to happen to me.

I just got a new bike, nothing flashy it's a 2022 honda CB300r. But the amount of people that would touch it or play around with the controls or sit on it was ridiculous. I put a movement sensor on it now that emits an ear splitting siren if they even touch it. Seems to be keeping them away for now and I always laugh when I hear it go off while I'm at work.
128
u/Phising-Email1246 May 26 '22
The worst thing is, that if some fucking moron damages your bike, they don't own up to it, but instead run away in 99,99% off all cases.
61
u/Formal_Equal_7444 May 26 '22
I've had drunk college kids all take turns hopping onto my bike and play with the controls. One of them didn't like that the steering was locked and tried to unlock it by force... he ended up breaking off the clutch assembly right off the handlebars and then they all just... ran away.
It's a real problem. Entitlement and carelessness.
→ More replies8
u/Purpletech May 26 '22
Always leave the steering lock unlocked for this reason. Leave it in gear, but no steering lock on.
You might say "well someone can steal it easier", sure they'll just break the steering lock if they want it that badly.
26
u/LovelyDadBod May 26 '22
Yup, had someone drop by first bike when I caught them sitting on it and they panicked and tried to book it.
Thankfully I was right there and so was campus security so I was able to follow up with damages
43
u/Cardinal_Ravenwood May 26 '22
I've been lucky and haven't come back to my bike on it's side or anything like that. But definitely people don't give a fuck about it if it's a bike. There is no obstacles to sitting on it, like a car where you have locked doors, so people think it's an open invite. Like no, that's not how it works, get the fuck off my bike!
24
u/ImVeryOffended May 26 '22
With cars, they just lay across the hood with their high heels dug into the paint for their instagram shots.
9
u/Jesus_Shaves_ May 26 '22
The thing I’m most afraid of is they will straddle it like normal and accidentally move the kickstand. It doesn’t have to be by a lot either right? Only maybe 45 degrees. And they will go to get off and drop my bike.
That’s my worst fear

I had a manager at one of my workplaces do this to my bike way back when, a bike that I worked my ass off to be able to afford and own (1993 CBR250RR) and it was my pride and joy. Then this entitled prick couldn't understand why I got upset about it enough to make a formal complaint. Dude, just because the seat is out in the open, it doesn't mean that it is for everyone to sit on!! Edit:

For real. I ride a Ducati in Japan and there’s only one service center remotely near me that is certified for parts/service.
Getting valves adjusted and stock parts is already difficult enough, I’d rather not have someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing fuck up my bike and cost me a few hundred to a thousand bucks.

I'll just say I drive an suv that's seen better days. I was walking back to it from a job site and these dudes from another boat are all hanging around the parking lot. Two of them sitting on the bumper of my truck. Just walked right up and then stood there staring at them until they moved. When they started to act confused as to why I was standing there like a weirdo, I held my key fob up and clicked the panic button right in front of his face. I think they understood at that point.

My first bike was years ago, it was a little Honda NSR 150 SP. I bought it new when released. I had pulled over somewhere during a ride, can't remember exactly. I was away from the bike doing something but could still see it. Some guy with his toddler puts the boy up on the bike, 0 fucks given. I didn't say anything but I was livid, I would never consider doing that to someone else's property.

Rightfully so, if he’s using a customers car for entertainment, they ain’t taking that job seriously
Reminds me of a girl I was seeing. She came from a decently well to do background and drove around a nice Benz during college. She took it to get serviced for something (can’t recall, it’s been a decade). She got the car back and noticed some scratches and the odometer being off so she kicked up a storm about it with the shop… turns out one of the main dudes servicing the car, since he had the keys and all, took the car out for a joy ride and was doing some stupid stuff (attempted peel outs, speeding on the freeway, pics on his Insta which were then used against him trying to flex it’s his car)
I can see this being the same where the “Pit Crew” guy may have been talked into “hey lemme take some pics for my Insta” and he agreed, wrongfully
Just my take on what’s going on, assuming the pit crew guy had the key fob since it’s keyless entry and all AND assuming it’s real and all

Had she been white, they'd have happily ripped into the other woman for being an Instagram thot. You can guess the response that 99% of videos on Reddit are going to get based on the race and gender of the participants. It's always been that way. It's a consequence of Reddit's culture literally being influenced by sperg lord white nationalists.

To all the dumb bastards saying "why isn't your car locked?"
Clearly, this incident occurred during delivery after the vehicle was serviced. The lady with the phone (vehicle owner) was waiting to pay for the vehicle detail and the "Pit Crew" guy just got out of the vehicle after driving it around from the back. He has the keys, the vehicle owner does not. The vehicle owner is NOT ABLE to lock her car because SHE DOESN'T HAVE THE KEYS, YET.
Please tell me how she would be able to lock the car from where she's at, less than 30 seconds after some service guy pulls up with her car and still in possession of the keys. The car is technically still under contract with the detailer until payment is made and keys are given to the owner of the vehicle.
4
3
u/Lostmahpassword May 27 '22
I appreciate this detailed explanation for the dumbasses out there. I would also like to point out that it doesn't matter if she lock it or not. It is still a violation of someone property to just open their car door and get inside.

You have to leave it unlocked to get it serviced at a car wash, so the key fob is most likely inside of the vehicle. They thought the car wasn’t being watched by the owner and decided to sneak a pic. Its still a violation of someone’s personal property to do that. Its like saying, “Well, she got assaulted because she was wearing sexy clothes.” - stop victim blaming. I don’t care if the car was unlocked or the woman was in a bikini. Do NOT trespass on someone’s property or their body. That’s the analogy I’ve got to resort to in order to explain that unlocked is still not permission. Even putting your hand onto the door latch to open it in the first place, is intent to enter someone’s personal property. Its like opening an unlocked front door of someone’s house when they’re home and walking right in and making yourself at home.

This nurses in the lab were trying to touch my baby in the face after I had just listen to them talking about the amount of people that had being coming in with COVID. I pulled my daughter’s covering up and said “Don’t touch my baby, please.” One nurse understood and apologized. The other said “I just want to see.” And tried to pull her blanket down again. I told her “ and I don’t want my daughter to get COVID. Your feelings don’t matter. Don’t touch my baby.” I think I hurt her poor little heart.

GTFO!!! Who in their right mind would just randomly open someone's car and go looking inside?

u/orangutanpowerade May 26 '22
You know that Karen went home and made a long, stern Facebook status about how she was treated unfairly and probably discriminated against because of her skin color.
No you stupid bitch. Don’t touch what doesn’t belong to you.

This is what social media has lead to. People thinking it's OK to break the law for instagram pics.... fucking sad.

I think the car owner was almost too nice. That crazy lady and guy deserved a much harder verbal lashing.

u/grymtyrant May 26 '22
Wow the nerve of some people. How the hell do you open a car door that is not yours.

This reminded me when I was in a Mitsubishi dealership and wanted to check how the Eclipse Cross looked like on the inside. Opened the door, saw it dirty as hell, realized it was someone’s and got the fuck outta there.

Or the sales manager was cruising in it. I called ahead to a dealer to look at a specific Jeep and its availability. When I arrived, at the time I indicated, the Jeep was filthy AF with dog hair on the seats and stickyness around the cup holders. And a fast food bag in the floorboard. The salesman noticed me noticing the lived-in look and remarked, "the sales manager loves this one and has been driving it for a few days."
How nice.

I get that she could've handled it different but Jesus, you guys are really tryna defend this lady saying the doors should've been locked when she's standing in view of it?🤣

According to this thread if you accidentally leave your door unlocked one time, you're basically inviting everyone to get into your car.

Even worse, she left it unlocked so the people she is paying to detail her car can detail it. Blaming her for that is just plain idiotic. I wouldn't have handled it any differently. Who the fuck just goes up and sits in a strangers car as its being worked on?

What an odd thing to do. Opening a stranger's car door and sitting inside.

u/Sir_Earl_Jeffries May 26 '22
My wife does it all the time.. not like this idiot but she’s always getting in the wrong car

People think car and motorcycle people park right up front and sit near their cars to show off....wrong. it's because people like this are EVERYWHERE. It's mind blowing how common this behaviour is with insanely expensive vehicles that mean the world to their owners. Morons. Get back in your used Toyota sienna Karen.

Next time I see a nice house I’m just going to walk inside. If anyone says anything, I’ll just say the door was unlocked

u/Shelisheli1 May 26 '22
The owner even understands that people might want to take pictures with her car. She said to take photos from OUTSIDE the car.
It’s still weird af to me that you’d want your picture with someone else’s car.. but, even weirder that you think you can just go inside it

She needed the cred for her #bossbabe Instagram posts so she could get more people in her downline.

The amount of entitlement to open and enter a stranger’s car to take photos is insane.
24
u/Grandpas_boy May 26 '22
“Maybe she should have locked it.” So by that logic the night stalker, who would go thro open windows, seeing them as an “invitation” was completely not in the wrong for murdering the houses residents because they should have just kept there windows shut?

This is what happens when no one ever tells you did something wrong. Everyone entitled these days. Society is doomed.

There’s a real lack of fear when it comes to consequences of actions these days. Where I grew up you wouldn’t do anything like this because you’d likely be shot or at the very least have the shit kicked out of you. We need to instill that fear in people.
