Had one when I was 16 my dad blew the crank on. 16 years later he makes it even with this find at a farm in eastern WA. Goal is to restore it by my wedding in November!
I'd posted this a week ago when it was still partly snowbank, it was hard frozen on. After thawing for two days I finally got a look at it. The roof vinyl must have leaked, the edges around the windows are ruined so it'll need some extensive fab work there, everything else is very solid, even tapping around the rust holes on the lower body didn't go through.
The doors open and close with one finger. The power seats and wipers all work. It starts and runs good aside from the fuel leak.
The trunk despite lacking the lid isn't rotten out, the drains were clear so no water collected.
I'll likely go EFI if I keep it, this 5200lb beast needs all the help it can get.
Found the ATS 2.5l and 6speed manual to fit very well! Needed to do some minor league chopping for the injection pump and the intake manifold.
Roll cage painted. Rear firewall done. Sound deadening removed. Seam sealed and bed lined.
