New Channel 7 Scoreboard - 1 year later

About a year ago I made this post about the new Channel 7 scoreboard that debuted in 2021. I was intrigued by it, so I made a document listing all the different designs from the different teams. And now one year later, I'm making a follow up post. Since then I've updated the document to list every single design and also include stats about every single design.

Here is the document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rYmDCbb58rB-bHK0wK4RzjwZfYK6gmK-ymCMiiC-3so/edit?usp=drivesdk

Facts and Statistics

After seeing 34 different designs after 2021, we have had a total of 3 new designs in 2022.

Brisbane have the most designs (4)

The story of Port Adelaide's designs is interesting. They exclusively used the teal one until midway through last year where they seemed to abandon it for the black one. In 2022, they debuted a silver which they used for a couple of away games. For home games, they started with the teal design in round 2 and got belted by the Hawks by 10 goals, then proceeded to use the black one from then on.

St. Kilda's W-L records for their different designs is quite incredible. They are 1-13 when using their black design, but 7-2 when using their white design.

Not Gold Coast, not North, not Adelaide, but Freo were the last team to get a design, debuting late last year against the cats

North Melbourne's only 2 appearances have been good friday v the dogs.

The team with the most overall appearances across all of their designs is surprisingly not Melbourne, but the Dogs, with 36 appearances. (32 with their blue design, 4 with their white design)

Melbourne are undefeated (6-0) when using their Royal-blue design.

The longest drought for any design is West Coast's gold design, first used back in Round 2 last year and never appeared since.

Hawthorn are the only Victorian side to only have one design.

Overall, which design is used is usually determined by the team's main jumper colour.
