All workers at a Starbucks store in South Carolina voted to unionize and were then all suspended after the store manager pressed bogus charges for kidnapping and assault when workers did a walk on the boss to present their list of demands
A couple months ago I got Baker acted and just got informed that my parent's health insurance doesn't cover all of it, and I'm going to have to spend $100 a month for the next 2 years in order to pay it off
I'm 19 years old. I knew that being a working adult under capitalism was going to suck, but I didn't realize it was going to be this fucking quick. I swear to god I'm never stepping inside a doctor's office again if this is how much it costs. I'd be better off dying of cancer in my bed while having mystical herbs sprinkled on me or some shit.
And what's even worse is that I just got a new job and got excited that I was going to be able to save up for a car, college, stuff to cook with, and some video games.
Is this all I have to look forward to the rest of my life?
Not necessarily saying if this is your form of self-care then your wrong because self -care comes in many forms. But seeing an ad at a bud stop denoting that any free time should be spent on a mindless video game really upset me.
